Canon @ Photo+Adventure 2022

€0.00

Photo+Adventure Messe is Austria's largest trade fair for the photo and print industry and therefore a key event for Canon to present its products to the Austrian audience. In 2022 the event took place in Pyramide Wien in Vösendorf, Vienna.

My role was to develop a visual concept supporting the general direction of “Expression and Exploration” as requested by the client, but also integrate the Canon stand in the concept of the Messe, which is all about travelling and nature exploration. The location features indoor vegetation and combining all these, the idea of “Urban Jungle” arose.

Since the allocated space was only 74sqm large and there was a need for separate visitor zones, a pop-up container with a terrace function was used to create additional space. This choice differentiated the Canon stand among all others which had one-level floor plans and it also gave the possibility to elevate the logo. Additionally, visitors could try Canon’s binocular lenses at the top, creating a special gazing spot over the Messe.

The overall aesthetic was completed using trussing in black, and black carpet and keeping the plants or green prints as the source of colour. The goal was to blend the stand with the surroundings, so that there was no clear separation.

Around the setup, whimsical portraits of birds made by Tim Flach were placed hanging from the trussing to further extend the jungle impression.

The floor plan included product showcase on oil barrels, special lighting, information booth in the container, a custon photography backdrop and a semi-secret body painting corner, once again in the concept of birds.

The project was received both by Canon, the Messe organizers and the visitors with great excitement and feedback.
