Casa Bacardi DACH tour 2023

This project included a very interesting challenge, where a group of containers should travel from country to country and festival to festival, changing layouts and formations to serve different needs. Besides the practical challenges such as structural and construction issues of the different combinations, there was also one concerning the decoration. The container layouts should bear the “Casa Bacardi” branding using more or less the same pieces but combining them in a different way for each festival. At the same time, a lot of the pieces should never change position in order to maintain quicker assembly and safer transportation.

My solution for that was to approach the carribean architectural style in more abstract way than last year, maintaining one main building where normally the DJ is placed (stage) and creating building-like components for the sides. Decoration inside and outside remained minimal and emphasis was placed on having spaces for customizable branding for each festival and also some specific photo opportunities. I was also responsible for producing technical drawings for the authorities, the cotnainer producers and the authorities, colour guides and building guides for every wooden detail of the setup.
