Tree Table @ Bootshaus, Vienna
In Bootshaus, a famour restaurant by the Danube in Vienna, there was a request for a table around a tree. One of the first challenges that rose, were how to measure the tree in a way that the feet of the table come sufficiently close to the tree, so that it’s stable but also that they don’t step on roots resulting on an uneven table surface. Additionally, it was important to fnd a way to assemble the table around the tree, as well as make sure that, when pushed against the tree, the table does not move.
