Cardboard Lamp "Urchin"
The Urchin Lamp is inspired by the skeleton of the sea animal urchin. The commercial context was the Christmas Flea Market “Feschmarkt”. The unfolded lamp constitutes of 10 cardboard pieces and can be easily packaged and transfered. The assembly is fast and simple, with flaps that lock into slots. The desired light effect is ambient, and so inside the lamp the light comes out of thin slots, then gets diffused on the brown cardboard, producing shadows.
